CATHERINE GORHAM

Catherine is Director of Be The Difference Consulting. She is a leadership development specialist with strong values of authenticity, integrity and compassion in all her client interactions and a proven track record across the public and voluntary sectors spanning 20 years. With a Masters level qualification in coaching/psychotherapy she uses a solution-focused approach, achieving fast but sustained change at the deepest level to enable leaders to fulfil their potential. In addition, Catherine’s expert facilitation transforms management groups into high performing teams, thereby delivering optimum organisational performance.

Catherine has worked extensively with Barnardo’s over the last 3 years, enhancing leadership effectiveness within the Retail and Fundraising directorates. She is currently facilitating their cultural change programme. Catherine has a broad portfolio of coaching clients including Board directors.

Catherine was previously Programme Director at the Cabinet Office responsible for an innovative leadership programme for 200 high potential senior managers from across government. This involved coaching individuals during their 1 year intensive personal journey as well as engaging high level stakeholders such as Cabinet Secretary, corporate CEOs and NHS trust boards in sponsorship, case study design and leadership workshops.

Prior to that Catherine was responsible for Continuing Professional Development for the Association of Corporate Treasurers and won the BT Global e-Business Innovations Award 2000.

Catherine is a qualified practitioner in Myers Briggs and Firo B psychometric tools. She is an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Licentiate Member of National Council of Psychotherapists and Associate Member of Association for Coaching. She has regular coaching supervision and is committed to her own continuing professional development.
